Golf Committee

Primary Function: To organize, promote and implement at least one annual golf outing.

Composition: The Golf Committee shall be made up of Four to Ten individuals appointed to serve for a one-year term. Members of the Committee are divided into the following categories —

• Committee Chairman
• Co-Chairman (must be the BAE or Board of Governor)
• Vice Chairman
• Conventional Members

Duties & Authority: It shall be the duty of the Golf Committee to:

• Develop and implement a schedule of events including —
  1. Establish dates for events
  2. Solicit and secure a golf course to hold each event
  3. Prepare a budget confirming positive cash flow
  4. Promote and acquire sponsorships when applicable
  5. Organize Awards presentation
  6. Coordination of event including volunteers to help with setup, registration of guests, and distribution of raffle tickets, etc.
• Coordinate the operation of each event with the BOMA Columbus Administrative Executive (BAE).
• Announce progress of the Golf Committee at monthly luncheons when pertinent.

The duties of Committee Officers shall be:

Committee Chairman —

• Establish goals for the Committee (First Quarter)
• Shall preside at all meetings of the Committee
• Shall see that orders and resolutions of the Board of Governors are carried out
• Account for the Committees activities and goal achievement (Year End)

Co-Chairman —

• Shall act on behalf of the Chairman in the Chairman's absence
• Shall act on behalf of the Vice Chairman in the Vice Chairman's absence

Vice-Chairman —

• Shall keep minutes and proceedings of all Committee meetings
• Prepare notices and agendas for Committee meetings
• Shall act on behalf of the Chairman in the absence of the Chairman and Co-Chairman

Meetings & Communications: Regular meetings of the committee shall be held at least monthly until the close of the event and shall be held at a location approved by the Board of Governors through the Administrative Executive (BAE).

The Chairman or Vice-Chairman shall give written notice of each meeting of members. Delivery of notice shall be by mail, e-mail or facsimile as appropriate.

Each meeting must be followed up within 10 days with minutes to recap the proceedings. Minutes shall be prepared by the Chairman with the approval of the Administrative Executive (BAE). Additional reports and/or budgets for special projects may be required at the request of the Board of Governors.

Resignation & Removal: Any Committee member may resign at any time by giving written notice to the Board of Governors, through the Administrative Executive (BAE) at the BOMA Columbus office. Such resignation shall take effect on the date of receipt of such notice or at any later time specified therein. Any Committee member may be removed from the Committee, with or without cause, by the Board of Governors.
